Heat treated, quenched, and tempered.
Pre-drilled latch tab allows addition of a latch.
Shank hooks are supplied unthreaded.
Design Factors: Carbon and Stainless 5:1, Alloy and Bronze 4:1
Bronze hooks are provided for non-sparking and non-marring applications.

Insufficient thread engagement can result in loss of load.
The following must be observed:
Shanks are not intended for internal threading or swaging.
To obtain maximum strength, threads must be class 2 or better.
Thread engagement with nut must be not less than
one thread diameter.
